Parents, students, and teachers crowded together yesterday afternoon in front of the EVA airways check-in desk at San Francisco International Airport. The occasion: the departure of forty-one CAIS fifth graders for Taipei, Taiwan to visit Ren-Ai Municipal Elementary School for two weeks - the largest group that CAIS has ever sent abroad!
Some students were sad to leave their families, but the group was also excited about the two weeks ahead. After a few last-minute questions (what food are we going to have on the airplane?), the group went through security and boarded the plane.
Check Veracross, Smugmug, and this site for blog posts, pictures, and other updates from the students and chaperones during their time on the island!
